Re: hydraulics

Re: hydraulics
Check the fluid level in the block under the gas tank and in the engine.
The block under the gas tank should be full to the large pipe plug on the upper left hand side.
If the engine is overfull on oil, the hydraulic pump is leaking and pumping all its oil into the engine. Very common problem, and easy to fix by replacing the seal/oring in the hydraulic pump drive shaft.
If oil levels are fine, the key may have sheared on the pump drive gear.

Re: hydraulics
Hi,
The Cub owner's manual says check the Touch Control fluid with the arms in the rear or down position, the fluid rises in the unit with the arms to the rear. They have an airspace in the top of the unit.

Re: hydraulics
Any noise that sounds suspicious ?….Or noticeable fluid leaks…..And has been said make sure your fluid is up to the bottom of the plug on the TC…Look for some linkage that may be bent…The obvious things will get you started….I have a TC staring at me waiting for a rebuild ….He was a leaker…. Dave
