Just split my cub and replaced clutch TB and PP reassembled and can't keep it running. Cleaned the carb and still won't stay running. It will start a run for twenty seconds and then dies. Tried different choke settings to keep it running and still it stalls.
This ran very well before the split, i put new gas in the pony tank (hood still off). I think its a carb issue maybe floodding? Seems to start up ok then dies. Any help would be appreciated thanks Chuck

Re: 62 loboy cub won't stay running
Try doing the flow test by removing the low point drain in the carb and catch a gallon or so of fuel as it runs out. If you don't have a full stream you have a restriction in the delivery system before the carb. If you have a good full stream, check the main jet for trash or contaminants that might have come from your pony tank. Stan

Re: 62 loboy cub won't stay running
You should have used a filter in the temporary gas line to protect your carb from un-known contaminates in a foreign small tank.---clean the carb real good and I'll bet it will run just as good a it did before! thanks; sonny
