Farmall Cub Plowing Snow

Postby Pop Pop's Cub » Sat Jan 23, 2016 12:06 pm

I'm new to the forum. My grandfather's cub, bought new in ~1953, has been brought back to all its glory -- although instead of mowing fields it is plowing snow today. Enjoy the video below.

I thought the beard in the first video was cool. Tractor is sweet. And the music really makes the video. Now the second video, I have been laughing for an hour with that horse head!!! OMG, that is so funny!! Thanks for sharing.

I am now ordering a horse head mask to wear when I plow. I love to keep the neighbors guessing...

Very nice job on the cub and Welcome to the forum from Arkansas. There is a CubFest in Sneads Florida next month that everyone seems to really enjoy.

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm sure a cubfest will be in my future. The horse head mask is loads of fun, with or without the cub (particularly on NYC subways).

Sweet looking Cub. I like your rubber cutting edge on the blade. I bet that helps big time on a paved driveway.

Only thing I see unusual is the headlights. Why are they shining up so high? I bet you haven't tried them at night..... Seriously, it looks real nice.

Thanks and good eye - the lights are shining up to make the flags perpendicular to the ground rather than tilting forward. The rubber does indeed make a difference.

Nice Job on the plowing video, made me and the wife laugh. I also sandwiched rubber (horse stall matt) between blade and cutting edge to save my concrete drive, works great!
When you get that slushy stuff it works like a big squeegee

Very nice Cub and video! You couldn't have opened with any better music than Bill Monroe and the Bluegrass Boys... :coffee:
