k-1 on a fast hitch
What are the chances that the only 2 brush cutters I have come across are both kub klippers? Does anyone know if the mule drive that came with my k-1 will work on a tractor with a fast hitch? I have a winter set up on for weight and cannot access the back to fit it. Thanks, nomad

Re: k-1 on a fast hitch
I don't have the answer to your question but it looks like the K-1 is a belly mount mower and the mule drive mounts to the finals with the rear supports for the mower. The fast hitch attaches on the finals as well. My guess is it will require some fabrication to accommodate both, and then I couldn't tell if the fast hitch would interfere with the decks bracketry or drive belt. Since you have the fast hitch I would suggest going with a Woods 42 F4 designed for a one point rear mount.

Re: k-1 on a fast hitch
I don't have a yes/no answer either for your kub clipper mower but these pictures show my 57 LoBoy with FH and a Bush Hog 412 mower with the mule drive mounting setup from a Pennington 59 inch mower. The attachment for the mule drive pulleys bolts on over the cover for the PTO shaft and the bracket for the mower attachment can be seen in the second photo on the right side as a square bracket which is bolted to the white plate that fits over the top of the attachment plate that holds the FH frame to the finals. It does not interfere with the FH or the mower operation and nothing has to be removed when using the mower. If you need some dimensions, PM me and I can get it for you. Stan

Re: k-1 on a fast hitch
Thanks. I finally got out to measure and the existing mule drive won't fit with fast hitch. I like Stan's set up but the k-1 mule drive also does double duty to hold the brush hog. Anyway, I am going to think about it be for modifying because I'm not sure both would function under there. Nomad
