I must admit I love the look of the demo. Even have a thread about doing one of mine in white, but I'll never try passing it off as a real demo. But to me, the 47 and the long stripe are WORTH more as either a collector value of both or the updated fast hitch and high horsepower of the long stripe. I use mine so I care more about rare implements, good engine n drivetrain etc than what number is on a plate that can be forged. And except unpainted demos to me are like listening to a politician. They might say the truth but proving a stripped and repainted cub even if all castings and vin are correct, NOT ALL in the known range we're demos so you never know for sure and may be spending 2 times the real value just because of a shiny new whitewash.

Some folks will pay more for original demos cause they are looking for one. Overall not really worth much more if any than a typical 1950 cub to the normal cub guy or a person wanting a cub to play with. I will say a nicely done white cub sure is pretty. Really the value of a tractor is what 2 people agree on. I got an ugly 1948 cub that I can rely on to start every single time and run for hours with manual lift I won't take 1500 cash for even if I took the mower off. I just bought a 65 cub with cultivators and mower (that's shot) for 650 with bad tires. Fresh gas and cleaned point and fired right up. I also have another 48 I paid 900 for happily with nothing with it. All depends really.
