Here's an excellent how-to. I bought material, rivets, and the riveting tool from McMaster-Carr and mine turned out great.

The old lining that McM had was "finger jointed" together and was easy to bend/break at those joints. That is why we were so careful about heating and curving the lining around the drum. The newer material is much easier to work with and does not require the prebending. The "how to" lists an old part # for the lining from McM, but if you type it in the search it will take you to the correct part #.

The material I got from McMaster-Carr last fall had to be boiled in a galvanized pail to make it pliable and prevent cracking during installation.
