New one for database

Postby rexxon » Sun Feb 28, 2016 6:40 pm

1949 McCormick Deering Cub hope the pictures show the original decal, anyway S/N 85954 Engine Number 86603 and the one casting code I could see under all the dirt was 8*20*S Not sure how long she had been sitting( it had been a good while from the looks of things) but hooked up a small gas tank to her and she was running in a few turns

This is an interesting one. Is the dash the short-ear version?

I'll tell you what, sometimes the more you learn about something, the cloudier things get. Lol!!!

Here is a topic from a while back, early in my days putting the Database together.

This is now the second found short-ear tractor with apparently original "McCormick-Deering" decals. I have some more thoughts on this that I will explore tonight after work.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Bud's example. The mind is starting to get a little slippery I guess. I don't guess I ever did get the serial number off Bud's. That makes 3.

Raymond, here's another one. Didn't get owners permission so just listing it as running and well cared for. SN # 196488. No FH. Still 6V.
