Hi Everyone. I am new to the tractor community. I am a school superintendent who is also a bit of a gear head. I have worked on cars and am restoring, in addition to the Farmall Cub, a 1980 Fiat X19. These forums have been great ways to learn and share experiences. As an educator, lifelong learning is a passion ands I value working with kids to assist them in accessing the vast amount of information out there and the great people who are wiling to share. The challenge is making sure that they don't abuse the system and that they are safe.

As I previously stated, Welcome.

The members of this site are a diverse group with various backgrounds and areas of knowledge/expertise.

Postings by members are based upon experience. Some postings are excellent, some not so good. It's up to the reader to determine if the answer applies to the situation.

Personally spent years teaching Industrial Arts/Technology, including a stint at a Junior College teaching auto mechanics and engine tune up. Personally think more school districts should advise or direct students to a near by trade school or junior college.

Last night was looking at the salaries paid to Unvi Mo. staff. Graduates from the local tech school can earn as much or much per year than the average staff salary.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Welcome to the forum! My dad was a public school superintendent for 30 years.

A list of annual CubFests is listed here: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=8. I'd highly recommend that you attend one. You'll learn a lot. Also at that link is a couple articles describing CubFests.

If you haven't already done so, familiarize yourself with the resources at your fingertips:
--Welcome Wagon: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=88707
--Manuals: links located across the top of each screen (PDF Manuals and Rudi's Manuals)
--How To Forum: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=11
--You might pay particular attention to this How To: http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=145&t=16305 (it has some suggestions one may not think of doing, but are essential for a running Cub)

Hope all this helps. If you have any questions, start a new post/topic. We'll be happy to help.

Again, we're glad you're here! :coffee:
