Another Auction...
Attended an auction in muleboss' neighborhood and got a good visit in with him.
We discovered a 1950 Cub demonstrator. White paint evident under the hood, front bolster, hood nuts and rear drawbar. Auctioneer bought it for someone who left a bid, $2000. Didn't run. Go figure. No one but muleboss and I knew what it was.
Muleboss picked up an interesting blade. Cub-54 frame with modified front end. And it's heavy!
I came home with a nearly complete Cub-22 sickle bar mower, most of a Cub-144 cultivator, and a couple buckets filled with tire chains for a garden tractor. Good day.

Re: Another Auction...
We did good this time. The last time we were at an auction together we both took cubs home with us. This time was cheaper. We did have a good visit though.

Flat out bad on that grass board. There's no doubt about it but a front-on photo of the board with the lettering would be super to see...and copy. Thanks for sharing!

Plenty of grass board info for you in this old thread. http://www.farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=67532&hilit=grassboard
Edit: There is an easy link to the drawing of a full size grass board in this thread. http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33329&p=264386&hilit=grass+board+drawing#p264386

Was thinking I might make a duplicate grassboard and hang this original up on the garage wall...

I agree 100% with you. The grass board is beautiful just as it is. I guess I was not clear in meaning the mower would get a make over; sorry.

That snowblade looks perfect for a mile of sidewalk clearing.
Would you call that a middlebuster snow blade?

Re: Another Auction...
Nice score! I will be refurbishing a Cub-22 mower and need to fabricate a Grass Board, Stay Rod and Grass Board Rod. Would it be possible to have you post the details of the board plus any of those rods if you have them. It would be awesome if you could make available a tracing of the board's outline showing including its details such as hole locations and diameters along with thicknesses and the dimensions and location of what appears to be a small vertical wood piece on the face of the board near the outboard end. Aren't I a pain, but hey you are the man of the hour!
Hey if anyone else could help me that would also be much appreciated.
Making progress on the refurbishment of "Marie", slow but progress never the less. Painting parts like mad and hope to start getting some pieces bolted back together soon.
