So I finally have a few recent pics of my cub. When I first posted pics a couple of years ago I thought it was a 1948. Soon after I figured out it was a 1952. It had been modified and has a very narrow rear end (39 inches from outer rear tire to outer rear tire if I remember right). I got a lot of opinions on what is used for from the forum. Everything from Orchard/Vineyard/etc. But I think the mystery is solved.....I hope. I was told by a friend of mine that there was a company located in the City of Oxnard, Ca that made this modification and it was done so these tractors would fit down tomato rows. Apparently there was a lot of tomatoes being farmed in this area at that time. Now it is pretty much strawberries. He even knew the name of the company but it slips my mind at the moment. My friend is a member of the local antique tractor club and knows a lot of the local history. He also grew up in Oxnard so if anyone knows it should be him.. Anyways thanks to everyone on the forum for all the help. You have know idea how much you assisted me. Sometimes I would post a question and get info that way but a lot of the time I got my info from searching topics. I would say I have done about 95 percent of the restoration myself. I had someone paint the hood and fenders (way out of my skill level) but I painted pretty much everything else and did most of the mechanic work myself..... and I am no mechanic by any means. It runs great !!! I still have to put on the rear wheel weights and implement components but I am real close to being finished. Ill post those pics when that gets done. Thanks again to all of you. This is a great forum. I got one of my friends hooked and he is looking for a Cub to restore.

Very nice looking Cub Greg, you did a great job.
Any narrower though and you may need a kick stand!
Now just enjoy the ride.

Very nice, hope you have flat land.
Tractors are like watermelons: the RED is good and you throw away the GREEN.
