TM Tractor, I can't say enough good things about them. I ordered all the parts needed to rebuild the pump, housing and a friction disc for the hand lever on Friday around lunch time. Look what just came in the mail. All the way from Maine to N.C. in no time. I figure if I'm gonna do this it may as well be right the first time. No sense in putting something I know nothing about on Arnold and then have to take it back apart only to rebuild later.

Decided to try and save these 2 stops for the hydraulic lever, success! Now to make 2 new screws out of stainless.

The Touch Control stops have a threaded insert that can be punched out. Replacements are available from McMaster-Carr along with thumb screws.

Yeah I have 2 at home that the insert is missing, I haven't gotten around to making new inserts for those yet. I worked on a couple of these for my brothers 140 years ago and made him some new thumb screws using a wingnut and threaded rod. I'll show you what I mean in a day or 2.

The very early grilles were made of a fine mesh screen. Unlike the more coarse screen of the late 47 to 54.

I got four stainless 10-24 wing nuts and four stainless 10-24 bolts and made them, wing nuts give you more to grip and these were $1.83 for bolts and wingnuts making them $.4575 each with no shipping and they won't rust. Tig welded them together on top. I also took the other 2 stops off Walt yesterday and gonna fix them as well.
