Identify my Disk Please

Postby Mr Ziffel » Sat Apr 09, 2016 1:34 am

I was told by the guy I bought it from it was a cub style disk.
I do not see any IH markings yet.
It looks like it was painted a yellow color under the surface rust .
I will use it for farming regardless of mfg. I am just curious.
Id like to hear from you old timers .

Look like one half of a 23 disk:

Not sure why it was painted yellow, other than being the one paint someone had lying around. As far as I know, they were painted all red with no decals (maybe stenciling to identify them, like the 193 plow?)

Hard to tell size from the picture. If it is about 4 feet across, I agree half of a Cub-23.

Agreed with the others, front half of a 23A. I think you will find it does a lot of dancing side to side not having the rear half unless you drive pretty slow.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Thanks for all the quick replies. It is 4 ft wide so you must all be right.
Maybe I can find the rear half for it . I will use it as it is for now, and try to get a good garden in.
I have had the cub for a few years now and have only used it for pushing snow from time to time.
I have finally bought a little farm am getting back to my roots. I just picked up a spring tooth harrow yesterday.
Thanks again gentlemen.
