My version of the Pittsburgh Carry-Lift

Postby tinnerjohn » Thu Apr 14, 2016 5:56 pm

Its almost done! Only took about 5 years. I printed the flier from the old TM Tractor site then didn't do anything more. Last winter I did some work for my brother-in-law who is a welder. I told him if he'd build this we'd be square. He made the frame from the picture, I've been working on the lift arms. Still need to add the cross brace, but my Grandson and I hauled 150 lbs of laying mash and shelled corn from the truck to the barn. I feel like I came out ahead and still owe him! John

Nice! Wish I had one for the FH. Tell us about the Chevy pickup. If on FB or pm me your email I'll share pix of three I have owned.

Thats a 51 3104 (1/2 ton w/ pick-up body). I got it about 3 1/2 years ago and have been slowly fixing it up. It needs some body and mechanical work, but it runs and drives so I'm going one step at a time. It's my scrap hauler, gravel hauler and anything else I need a P/U for. Like the 52 Cub, it was built so you can fix it in the driveway. In fact my wifes reply when I told I wanted to buy it was "if it quits while we're going down the road, you can open then hood and get us home" Gotta love that girl! John
