A Weekend Of Work on Rex'48

Postby PVF1799 » Mon Apr 18, 2016 7:10 am

Rex'48 is now sporting the correct hood decals for the month, year and serial number (21005). I used a heat-gun to carefully remove the incorrect die-cut stickers one letter at a time and of course ONE letter had to peel paint (I got that one too warm) - so it was tape off, paint 6 coats, wet sand and buff out that one letter. Now Rex'48 is properly names McCormick-Deering Farmall Cub. I added the reproduction Serial Number Plate. I did finally get brave enough to use an orbital buffer on the hood. It really cleaned up and polished the hand work I had done in 2014.

Rex'48 now is on Full-Dress Uniform and back at the farm ready to work for the summer.
