Cultivator Wedge Bolt Source

Postby AL Farmall Boy » Tue Apr 19, 2016 12:16 pm

Just wanted to check and see if anyone knew of a source to purchase cultivator wedge bolts (and cuffs too) other than the China-made ones or the Turkey/India-made ones. I have had both of those reproductions and they have proved to be a failure and not a quality part. I realize I can go used OEM on them, but was wondering if a new source (USA made) has surfaced for these parts. I would like to order around 100 wedge bolts with square nuts because I have a pile of IH cuffs that are missing them. I remember at one time someone was talking about a place that might start making them. Can't remember for sure though.

Yeah Boss I knew you could get them from Case/IH still but didn't know they were around $40 each. I thought they were around $10 each there. Is that for the cuff and bolt, or just a wedge bolt?

I figured that SOMEBODY must be making them here in the US

Thank you! I will have to check it out when I get to a different computer as that site is blocked by my computer here at work. Haha, that's the State for ya.....keeping me from seeing Burch Store's website.

I thought I remembered seeing some that they offered but were the aftermarket China or Turkey ones. I must have missed these.

AL Farmall Boy

I have used several of Burch Store Tractors USA MADE wedge bolts.
Here is a link to the wedge bolts and square head nuts: https://burchstoretractors.com/collections/farmall-cultivator-parts-cub/products/new-wedge-bolt-and-square-head-nut-for-farmall-cultivator-cuff-clamp-usa-made.

Have had real good luck with them, have used several after ringing off several of the imported ones at the point where the wedge and threaded portion meet. Never rung of an original IHC wedge bolt off. I also like the squared head nut because I usually have at least an "all purpose" adjustable wrench hanging on seat adjuster lever.

Good Luck
BMD
