This video is about changing belts. Towards the end is a bit about tensioning.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi,
Here is a page from the Cub owner's manual, if you want to read what IH said.
Your Cub would have come with the factory alternator, I haven't seen an owner's manual that shows adjusting the alternator belt, there might be one on the website here somewhere. :)
