TM, timing and parts quality

Postby DickB » Mon Jun 20, 2016 6:45 pm

So many times I'd read here advice to others on parts that they might try TM, one of the sponsors of this website. And so I finally did it too, on this Friday at 4:45 PM thinking that the parts would be here by Wednesday or so. Too late in the day to find things, package them, square away the credit card stuff, get to the post office. Monday around 2PM there's the parts in the mailbox! I've bought parts from many places and had zeroed in on a Case-IH dealer who is a couple of hours away by the asphalt roads. Top quality past there only to be matched by TM.

I might mention, on a slightly different matter that I avoid Cub parts from TSC, having been burnt by poor quality and sometimes parts that don't even fit. But recently I bought stuff for the sicklebar there: the stuff just looked like it was good. Rivets, rock guards and bolts, and the end double knives. All seem to be A-OK so far and I'm so far impressed by the double knife end blades because they're serrated on the bottom meaning that I can grind the sloped top edges along with the other knives.

Excellent service, and quality parts, is the reason I recommend them!

I always use underserrated knives. I always recommended them when I was a parts guy for the green tractor folks.
