I own a 1953 Cub tractor (North Carolina) and have put new wires on recently. My brother is able to set the points and get it running. I would like to surprise him and show him that I can do the same thing. Any instructions as to what to do? TDC stands for? I know the gap has a requirement as to the plugs. .25 I believe. I believe I have the plug wires set right on the distributor cap. This is a challenge but very doable. Please advise.
Thanks

Re: Points
Welcome to the FORUM. Your best source of information is GSS 1012, Electrical Equipment, free download from the manuals link at the top of this page. It will tell you all you need to know for both the magneto and battery/distributor type ignition, firing order, removal, maintenance and repair as well as the re-installation of the system. This should take you there: http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/downloa ... -27-55.pdf After you completely understand what it's supposed to do, you will probably be able to instruct your brother Stan
