Touch Control

Postby joeb174 » Wed Jun 29, 2016 10:43 pm

With any weight on them my lift arms bounce. I think it may be time for a rebuild. Is that a project that needs to be done by a professional or do most of you do it yourself?

Really easy DIY. There is a topic on it in the "How-To" forum. Check to make sure which style block you have. New or Old.

If the fluid level is low, check the dipstick to see if the crankcase level is high. If so, that indicates the shaft seal on the pump is leaking. That is a much simpler fix than rebuilding the block.

Checked the fluid and filled to the bottom of the fill plug hole. Took maybe 1/2 pint then started the engine and cycled it up and down a dozen or so times still no change.I guess it's time to bite the bullet.

by bounce, do you mean that if you move the lever slowly the arms move in jumps? If so, that is pretty much normal. A rebuild with new o-rings, etc. will help, but rarely cures it.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Did you then top it off again?
