The boomerang in the photo posted above does not appear to have the two spacers welded to it, as the originals do. This, coupled with that fact that the hole in question is not sized correctly, almost guarantees that it is home/shop made. Washers could be used in place of the spacers. Having said all this... drill it.

The second picture in the original post shows the back side of the boomerang with the spacers welded on it. Still don't know if it is an original but if it was it is definitely unused since it won't fit.
