First the engine questions. My crankshaft was cracked in two places so I bought a new one from Steiner. He put in new rod & main bearings, rods, wrist pins & rings. The pistons were fine so he reused them.
I removed the pressure gauge today and gave it a shot with what air I had left in the tank, which had to be less than 10 PSI. The needle rose up about 1/3 of the gauge and froze. I had to beat on it to get it to back to zero. I have no experience with gauges, I would think that they either work or don't work, so if I can't find a loaner by Monday I'll just buy a new one from TM.
Thanks, John.

Re: Oil Pressure Indications
So, I got my new oil pressure gauge in from TM today. I just finished installing said gauge and am happy to inform all that the problem was a bad gauge.

Re: Oil Pressure Indications
I suggest checking the pressure with oil pressure tester gage to see what it reads. Could ve a bad gage.

Re: Oil Pressure Indications
I would replace the gauge first then work from there can only be two things if it is the same before rebuild ?
GUAGE ! Or plug somewhere was missing before rebuild and rebuilder didn't know it ! REPLACE GAUGE FIRST ! its easy and cheapest.
I just bought a 52 mdl ran great but no oil pres .replace gauge oil pres is 35 cold and about 25 hot at idle .
