Manifold gasket. Sealant or no?
Putting a new manifold on and I don't know if I should use a high temp sealant or if you guys prefer to just use the gaskets alone. Thanks in advance.

Re: Manifold gasket. Sealant or no?
I have always used new gaskets with no sealant and have had no problems. Just be sure the manifold and block surfaces are clean.

guess I am the "odd man out", I always use Copper Coat on the manifold gaskets.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Hi,
Below is a page from the Cub service manual with engine torques.
http://www.farmallcub.info/manuals/gss- ... 001-09.jpg
Below is the whole Cub service manual, it has lots of info. The engine is in section 1.
I would recommend reading it if you are rebuilding a Cub engine.
There is a section with info about splitting a Cub also.
