Here are the first pictures of the 1949 Cub taken straight off the trailer when it was unloaded. I'll make a second post that has the casting numbers, i.d. plate and some very nasty looking innards!

Re: First Pictures Of 49 Cub.2
Here are pictures of the i.d. plate and casting number. Someone please tell me this Cub is some type of rare one? HaHa
Two of the pistons were stuck. Once I got those out I discovered some pretty bad valves and a lot of gummy old gunk. Two of the pistons looked like the one in the picture, really nasty. They are in saok clean, soak clean, soak clean mode right now. I'm debating on just buying a complete overhaul kits and replacing all the pistons and valve train.
Question: Has anyone had any experience with a place that sells Cub parts called Hamilton Bob's? It's in Ohio. If so what were your impressions?
Thanks!

I tell you the truth, the last Cub I did 10 or 12 years ago sat outside behind a guys barn and we actually had to cut 2-3" diameter trees around it to get it out and the motor wasn't NEAR as bad as this one.
