The "buzz box" is making sparks and I have successfully made my first repair! Having never welded before, (or even wired 220 line) - I am thrilled to have this new skill to develop. Anyway, welding is definitely on the agenda for the meeting Saturday from 1 to 3 pm. Hope you can make it! :big smile:

Good to hear that the welder is making the sparks, not YOU!

Another great get together for the Maine Cub Club! Discussed membership drive, parade cubs vs. working cubs, welding, grinding, painting.
Tom gave Frank and I a lesson in welding and welded a part from a 54-A plow - came out great! Picture of Tom preparing the part for paint.
Next meeting December 3rd - welding and compression tests. :tractor:

Just heard from the largest Ag farmer in the county regarding a tour of his "Tractor Shop" for an upcoming club meeting - Here was his message back to me - "Tom, sorry for the late reply. We'd be happy to give a tour, let me know a date and we'll make it happen."
Next meeting is January 7th and this will topic number one.
Now what are you waiting for, come join the club so you don't miss out all the fun things we have planned!
-Tom

I am really looking forward to this tour. Rain or Shine...or snow?

:( The Farm Workshop Tour is cancelled due to the happy news of the shop owner bringing home his newborn son from the hospital on the day that the tour was scheduled -tomorrow. His son is a 'preemie' and has been in the hospital for 2 weeks. Happy news for him and even though we all were greatly looking forward to this tour, we will be just as happy to know that the shop owner is only postponing tomorrow's tour and will be able to reschedule once his family routine becomes less hectic. :{_}: -Tom :hattip:

Maine Cub Club Meeting is today at 11 or so at the Greenway Equipment Open House in Bangor. Wrong color, I know, but tractors none the less. Who's to say no to free food and refreshments on a cold drizzly day? :hattip: -Tom

I'd have to wear a bag over my head, if I went, to not be recognizer, in a wrong color dealership. Hard to eat and drink, that way. Glad I don't live near the open house!

I did wear a bag over my head with a picture of this guy Ed that I know taped to the outside and people kept coming up to me and saying "Hey I know that guy! He has a John Deere riding mower!" I had to take the bag off to get left alone... :bellylaugh:
