Is this the seal you are looking for?

TM also sells the seal with a wear sleeve.

There is no fan shaft seal. The oil is retained by gravity and centrifugal force. If you recently added oil, you may have overfilled it.

Hi,
Here is a page from the 1965 Cub owner's manual showing how to check or add oil to the fan, and fill it to the proper level. You probably know already. :)
