52 cub shutting off
Posted couple wk's. ago about 52' Cub stops running after a little time. Find now that 6v battery had 1 bad cell. New battery today, started great, has run for several hours so far ! Could bad battery cause engine shut down ? Hope keeps going and thanks for all suggestions given.

Yes. Providing the ignition system was only operating off the battery. And the battery voltage dropped below 4.5 volts.HART wrote:Could bad battery cause engine shut down ?
However, if the generator and regulator/cutout were working properly, once started the tractor should operate just fine.
