No such thing. Mags were all 6v. As a matter of fact all 48 Cubs were 6v. The tractor may have been converted to a 12v but the points and condenser would still be the same. Just go in and tell them you need points/condenser for a 1948 Cub.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

Depending on how the person in the parts store interprets what you ask for, the difficulty might be there was no 12v magneto in 1948. A lot of the people in the parts stores don't even know what a magneto is nor how it operates. If they can't find it in the computer they are lost. That said, the points, condenser and distributor cap should interchange for battery ignition or magneto. The rotor and pinion gear for the magneto is different from the battery ignition rotor. The C60 engine parts is not in the Parts Manual TC 37F, it's in a separate manual, ENG-1 Rev 20 12-75. I think this is what you are looking for:

EDIT: Barnyard gave you the quick and direct answer while I was looking for the pictures. :hattip:

Hi,
The NAPA part number for Cub points is CS1600.
The Case IH number is 407018R91, that is a box with the points and condenser in it. :)

Thank you all for the replies
Our local store gas to dust off the books and they presented the combined unit as the part.
