Ribbed front tires

Postby les king » Sun Nov 06, 2016 4:26 pm

I lugged home a 58 and one of the front tires was ate up, bought two 4x12s I leaned a new one beside the one that had air and noticed it was a 5x12. I looked at all twelve of my other cubs and the 57 had 5x12s , now I like the look of the larger tire so I am trying to find some on line seems no search brings them up . Has any one else had this problem?

Stan, he is looking for 5.00x12.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.

I thought I was missing not putting the width of the tire in the search, but I don't see anyone requesting that. Maybe it's my eyes but I do like the look of the 5 inch tire .the back tires are 9.5x24 while the cubs with 4x12s have 8.3x24. Thanks to all you tractorsperts.

Yeah, that's what I thought so I went to the Miller website and they don't show a 5.00x12 front tire, only 4.00x12 and 6.00x12. They do list a 5x12 but it looks like a rear ag type tread. Thought it was unusual that the zero's were missing but I'm not a tire person, only what I've seen.

I bought a pair of 5.00x12 tires a few years back from Tucker Tire on eBay. They are a perfect match for the 9.5x24 rears but a little large for the 8.3x24's on my Cub so I never even mounted them on the rims. They are buried somewhere in my tractor shed.

I'm interested, they are a match for 9.5 rears, I just happen to notice the difference, my 57 had them on and I didn't think much about it ,since the 58 had them also I thought that they might of came out from the factory this size. Just stand back and look at them , makes the little cub look like is pumping up it biceps a bit. A super A wanabe. Feel free to contact me if you get rid of them 281 509 7475
