Fast Hitch
I've got cub serial number 76700 which would be 1949. It has Touch Control Hydraulics on it. I'm wondering if a fast hitch will fit up with it?

Re: Fast Hitch
Luke,
Short answer, yes however....
The rockshaft will not be the larger diameter one and it will not have the additional inner tab for the Helper Spring.
Your fender will not have the reinforcement where the Helper Spring Bracket attaches.

Yes, but I believe you need to use the bearings from the new one because of a size difference.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Correct. Several other things... If you intend to use the helper spring (recommended), you'll need to find a left fender with the reinforcing pad, or modify the existing one to be compatible. Also, if you currently have a rear rockshaft, I believe it is not compatible with the Fast Hitch.

Re: Fast Hitch
Hi,
Here is a little more clear pic of the left fender reinforcement. The reinforcement is welded onto the fender. Fenders are thin to weld something onto, unless you know how to weld sheetmetal.
If you are buying a Fast Hitch with the 1st style of depth control lever, on the right side, there are no holes to attach parts of it onto the right fender and platform, on a 1949 Cub.
There is also the newer style depth adjusting crank, used after the lever.
You can probably see the holes, and fender reinforcement, and Touch Control rockshaft arm on your 1957 and 1959 Cubs. Easier to put a Fast Hitch on one of those. The Fast Hitch came out in late 1954.
The 1957 probably had the crank depth control, but not sure, that is about the time they changed from the lever. There is no serial number in the parts book showing exactly when they changed, that I have seen. The 1959 would have had the crank.
Below is a pic from TM Tractor showing the lever parts.
