Lookin' good. Amazing how much time can go by when projects get sidetracked... Glad to see you back at it.

Your demo looks nice. What was the paint code you used on yours? I've seen 2 different codes and not sure which one to use.

BSR, your Cub looks great!

Rob in NH you jogged my memory: I haven't had a chance to do anything with it, but I recently acquired a NOS IH quart of "Whitecap White," the supposed original white they used on the demos. I bought it to display but also I'd like to open it up to do some color swatches that I can take and have matched to modern paint.

I'm guessing the best course of action is to take it to a paint store and shake the :censored: out of it and then take a look at what's inside......

If the paint is still good you could spray a test panel and take it to a auto body supply and have a picture taken of it, the new camera's are very accurate.

The biggest challenge in using it to paint a test panel will probably be getting it completely mixed. Some pigment may have settled out so thoroughly that it won't want to mix back in. I suppose it depends on what pigments are in there.

I also have a demo Super A here right now for restoration, lots of white paint on it, if a sample of it would help

That can be a problem with old paint but its still worth a try. You'll be able to see if its any good after its mixed.

thanks Tim but the sample needs to be perfect in order to get an accurate reading on the camera. That cub sure looks good, you going to restore it or leave it as is?

the cub is not mine, has been apart like that for 40 years in a barn but they would not part with it, it is good reference to know how they were really painted

Lots of Titanium Dioxide! You are correct, Jim,it will most likely never go back into proper suspension, unless you use a high speed mixer. Also depends on what type of anti-settling agent was used.
