Replacement disk on a disk plow

Postby bigbadger12000 » Wed Dec 14, 2016 9:14 am

Does anyone know of a good source for a replacement disk? I bought the largest disk I could find an ended up blowing holes with a torch (it was too hard to drill) and it works, but it appears to be 4 - 6 inches to small in diameter.

Agri Supply has a wide assortment of disk blades. They may have something you can make work. Please let us know what you find.

Agri Supply has a 26 inch disk,I believe. That's the diameter you need. I bought one there, 2 yers ago, for my Hester disk plow. Haven't installed it, yet.

I doubt it. Plow was probably made in the 50's.

If I remember correctly there was a place that had new ones. Can't remember where, but try looking at Shoup parts. Used ones can be sourced easily too from folks parting them out.

They have 26" discs, I bought one several years ago and blew some holes in it. I also countersunk (beveled) the bolt holes so the scraper wouldn't catch on the bolt heads. If I remember right, you need the one with 5" concavity to match the old disc.
