One Touch Rockshaft

Postby nbsbbaker » Sat Jan 07, 2017 10:42 pm

All,

I am starting a rebuild of the one touch hydraulic system on my 51 Cub but have been unable to remove the connecting rod pin from the connecting rod itself. I removed to cotter pin and loosened the nut at the on the connecting pin but the connecting pin seems to be seized inside the connecting rod. I've let it soak in PT Blaster and tapped both ends of the connecting pin and the all around the connecting rod but it won't budge. My schematic shows a bushing in the connecting rod that the connecting pin goes thru and I'm thinking the bushing is seized to the connecting pin. Any clues on how to break this thing loose?

Yeah, that was next on the list. Or maybe just hit it a little harder?

No, that may mushroom the end of the pin
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
