charging voltage at 6 volt battery ?

Postby luvmcubs » Wed Jan 11, 2017 5:57 pm

just want to say info here is incredible. trailered a cub home 11 days ago. got it running last week. charging system was not working.after using flow chart determined voltage regulator was bad. went to my local ac delco national parts supply store with cub info/generator model # and they matched that up with a made in america standard motor products vr214 voltage reg. hooked it up and polarized it. started her up and ammeter now shows a charge.

switch off- 6.40 volts at battery
1/2 throttle-7.91 volts at battery ---are these readings where they should be ? ? ?
full throttle- 7.28 volts at battery
