New carburetor
looking into buying a new aftermarket carb for my '48 cub as mine is in rough shape. Bowl pretty dented up and top is warped and leaking. Not sure it's worth rebuilding and straightening. Just wondering how is the quality and has anyone had any issues with them before i hit the order button. Thanks

Re: New carburetor
Don't hit the order button. The top can be straightened and the bowl straightened, as well. Install a rebuild kit and you are good to go for another 50+ years. If you don't want to tackle it yourself, post a "wanted" in the VINE and some of the folks that rebuild them will surely respond.
One of our carb gurus (Don McCombs) evaluated the new replacement carb here http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=20230. You might want to review it. There are also several carb related threads in the How To Forum found here http://farmallcub.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=139

Re: New carburetor
Agree with Bill, have one of the folks on this site that repairs carburetors work it over.
This will save you considerable dollars over the purchase of a new carburetor.
