and the shipping is FREE

Postby smallfarm » Mon Jan 30, 2017 8:05 pm

I know the correct oil filters for a cub are a bit pricey

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Farmall-Interna ... Sw-0xYjgBW

I thought it was an error 'till I saw the free shipping :lol:

Looks like you can finance it for 24 months for $49.00 a month.

The thousand dollar question for me is....does it come with the gasket?

Even if the decimal point has been misplaced, Cub oil filters with gasket are less expensive at the local auto parts store.

Yesterday I visited my local auto parts store to order a battery wire terminal for my 2003 Expedition. Carried in two printouts. Two different terminals, being offered by various auto parts stores and Ebay. Old guy behind the counter looked up the terminal. Then said that the terminal was on order and should be here, perhaps this afternoon. Also said that internet listings for the terminals were over priced, way over priced when you figure in shipping and handling.
I have an excuse. CRS.

If it's a misplaced decimal point, he made the same mistakes in two other listings.

Returns. 30 days money back, buyer pays return shipping, 10% restocking fee may apply.

Let's see. 10% of a $1000- is $100-. Such a bargain. Pretty sure I can purchase 10 filters from the local auto parts store for the restocking fee.

I asked them about the price. They must hope there are some really stupid people out there, here is the reply I received;

Good afternoon, thank you for bringing this to our attention. With new listings, we upload them at a higher price so that our pricing system can drop them to the correct price on the next update pattern and we are not selling the items at a price that is a loss to our company.

If you are interested in the item please add it to your watch list but we are well aware of the pricing on these items.

Thank you again for your concern on our listing and we hope you continue to be such a dedicated eBay member.

Isn't NOT selling any items a loss for the company? :shock:

I guess Griselda knows more about sales than we do.
It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something.
