Plowing Snow with the Cub - Video

Postby Urbish » Wed Feb 01, 2017 10:11 am

I took this video last night as I was plowing the 3-4" of heavy wet snow we got yesterday. It looks deeper than that as this was my 2nd pass moving the bank back into the yard. I love watching that curl come off the blade.

You'll notice the continuous transmission whine. I rebuilt my transmission two years ago, moving the guts of the trans to a new case after discovering a crack in mine. The sound has been pretty continuous since then. I think I got the pinion to ring gear shimming wrong.

Great video! The way she's a straining I wouldn't be adding that wing blade anytime soon, lol. The ole IH whine, all you need is some cheese, lol.
Every home is a school, what are you teaching?

Yeah. Resolving that noise is next on the docket. Hopefully I get a few weeks between the end of snow plowing season and the beginning of lawn mowing season to get it apart and diagnose.

Nice roll you've got going there! I thought that whine was normal on a Cub.
