Ignition switch key

Postby staninlowerAL » Thu Feb 02, 2017 8:12 pm

Is the OEM ignition switch key for a Longstripe Cub a "universal" type key? Any unique features on the original switch? I'm not sure if the switch is original or been replaced. Thanks, Stan

A lot of the Cubs and Cub Cadets used the same key. Looks like a regular sawtooth key. I believe IH #131313C1

Just looked at TM website, they list 2 different part numbers, based on tractor serial number. Just wondering if the OEM switch might have a part number on it. I'll have to pull mine out and check. BTW, there is no SN on mine but casting codes match for mid 1976.

All of the 1976 Cubs would use the prior part number above. Good Luck, Frank
