Rudi's passing
It is with a heavy heart that I have to report the passing of Rudi Sauracker this morning. His participation on the board has touched the lives of most of us from personal friendships to using the manuals that he lovingly assembled and maintained on his server.
He was a very good friend to me and we had some great times together. I have many Rudi stories that are a way of me remembering his unique sense of humor and vast knowledge of many different disciplines. I am sure that not many know he was a talented wordworker and cabinet maker among his many talents.
At this time I have no information on services and if I do get that information I will pass it on. Em has said that she will be getting a hold of me in the near future just to talk.
Thanks to all of you for having his family in your thought and prayers.

Re: Rudi's passing
Rudi used to call and talk on the phone often. As time passed and his health failed those calls became more rare. Few people realize the amount of work and effort that Rudi put into the manual site. He was particular about his details. I will miss him for sure.

Re: Rudi's passing
That's very sad to hear. Rudi helped me so much not only through this forum but off line as well. He was a good man, incredibly smart and generous with his time. He will be missed. Knowing he was a child and follower of Christ, I know his is now on an incredible adventure. I'll continue to pray for Em and the girls.

Re: Rudi's passing
Cecil, Thank you for bringing this to our collective attention.
Rudi's enthusiasm for life and perseverance in the midst of seemingly neverending trials of his own or his family set a high bar for all of us.
He will be sorely missed.
Emilie - my condolences on the loss of your husband.

Re: Rudi's passing
I never had the privilege of meeting or talking to Rudi, but I feel like I lost a dear friend just from all the help I've gotten from the manuals and his posts. Please extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. John
