Would anyone know what size o-ring is used for the control valve piston? Mine is leaking and it needs replaced. I also need the size of the o-ring for the pump shaft as it is leaking as well.

Hi,
Here is a listing for the control valve o ring at TM Tractor, they are at the bottom of most pages on here.
They have a pump gasket kit also, and other Touch Control parts.

Re: Touch Control control valve
Tracy, I can't answer your question and it appears the manuals nor TM can help either. If there is anything left of what you have you may want to take it with you to a parts house.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Touch Control control valve
That's what I'll have to do. I only need those two o-rings to fix my leaks. Seems pointless to spend $80 I'm repair kits to get $10 worth of parts that I need

O-RING,0.103" Thk x 0.487" ID, -112, Cl 5, 75 Duro----From Messick's website, this is the pump shaft seal o-ring. The dash # 112 is what you ask for. The other is listed as an oddball size that I don't think you'll find.

Re: Touch Control control valve
I sucked it up and ordered the pump kit since I have to take it apart to replace the drive shaft seal. I ordered the manifold tube seals, manifold tube gasket and control valve seal separately.
Thanks for all your input

Re: Touch Control control valve
Hi,
If you bought the pump kit that I posted above, it has pics of what it in the kit, the gaskets are in the kit, you don't have to buy them separately. The contents of the kit are listed in the bottom pic at the kit link.
I would think it's good to replace the o ring between the halves of the pump, you don't want that leaking.
Be sure the pump has the lock washer that you bend around the nut at the drive gear, so the nut doesn't fall off into the engine.
I hope you looked to see if your pump has the 0 ring seal on the shaft, or the older style oil seal before buying parts.

Re: Touch Control control valve
Well the parts are bought and it was the only pump kit TM had. If it turns out out it is wrong it wouldn't be the first time I've thrown money in the trash. Lol. The extra o-rings I bought weren't included in the kit.

Re: Touch Control control valve
There was only one kit. It will have a few extra parts, so just replace what you take out.

I've watched the Steiner video a few times and that's what she said too.
Thanks Bob
