Depth control lever

Postby Robeeske » Sun Apr 30, 2017 8:16 am

I bought a cub that came with a plow. Do I have to have a depth control lever to use the plow? My tractor has a manual lift on it if that makes any difference.

Yes, you still need the depth lever as well as any of the hardware that goes with it. Here is a link to TM's web site showing the proper hook up. http://www.tmtractor.com/tm-tractor/gim ... ow_001.htm
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Without the depth control you won't be able to change the pitch of the point. Depending on the make up of the soil you are plowing, the plow can actually work it's way up and be too shallow, or jump out and run on top. Don't forget the plow is only working with it's own weight, the chain hook up is only for lifting.

Why is there never enough time to do the job right, but always enough time to do it over. :?:

Hi,
Not all of the plows have the chain on the right side that goes to the lever mounting, some were made without it. :)
