Fast hitch disk.

Postby J3 Driver » Sat May 06, 2017 9:11 pm

I was wondering if anyone ever tried a double gang fast hitch disk on their cub. I know IH made a bunch for the 130/140 that is close to the size of the tandem cub disk. With the cub fast hitch lift it and will the tractor pull it. Everywhere I have to disk I have to I have grass to go through and don't want to tear up my yard.

I doubt a Cub would lift it. The Cub 23A harrow set with no angle in disc set won't do anything to your yard.

I just had the same idea, but the geometry on the point is not correct for the Cub to lift or use it correctly. My Cub has no helper spring, but lifted my disc up enough to transport it when I put the hydraulic lever all the way up then went to the back of the disc and pick it up by hand. She held it long enough to get home. I guess if you lowered the point some it may work, but I am not going to try that. I think you might be better off getting the correct disc for the Cub. I think I am going to sell my tandem and try and find the correct one.

Unbolt/drop off the rear gang. Probably reduce the disk weight by 30% to 40%.
I have an excuse. CRS.
