Disc Plow

Postby Luke470 » Wed May 10, 2017 5:52 pm

Hi!

I've got a disc plow that looks like an IH-152 but has two discs instead of one. anyone know the model number of it? also where one could find a manual for it.
Thanks!

I am assuming you meant like the 151, which is the rear mount disk plow. The model is a Cub 12-D Harrow Plow. It does not plow as deep as the normal disk plow, but takes a wider strip. It is shown in the CB-1A parts manual, but I do not think there is an owners manual for it on the site. The owners manual for a 151 should give you most everything you need, so they are very similar except for 2 disks versus 1 disk. Go to the quick links in the top left corner and select .pdf manuals.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

If it has 2 disks mounded on a single axle, it is the harrow plow John described. If it has 2 disks, each mounted separately on an individual bearing, it is probably a disk plow for a Super A.

If it is two forward mounted discs, like the 152, it could be a Hester plow. It could have been made for Farmall A, Super A, 100, 130 , 140 sized tractors or possibly others. Hester made plows for different makes as well. Hester made a single disk plow like the 152 for cub as well. They usually have bolt in middle of disc blade to attach to bearing, instead of 4 countersunk plow bolts.
