Sons cub is finally back together.

Postby J3 Driver » Sat May 27, 2017 9:53 pm

So a few months ago I took the generator and regulator off of my sons cub to have it looked at. Turned out the regulator was bad. So got a new one and the generator gone over and get it all back together and she won't run. Doesn't even try. Has gas, has spark. Doesn't have compression. So I pull the head and all four exhaust valves are stuck. So off for a valve job. (If anyone is around South Central PA Dwayne Zimmerman in Newville does excellent work very reasonably. Ground all 4 valves and seats and cleaned things up and adjusted valves for 76 bucks)

So last night I get her home and all back together. Runs like a champ. More power than before, runs smoother, and the generator and charging system are working flawlessly.

My son has his cub back and is happier then ever.

Much better than before.

Thanks all four the help answering a newbies questions on things. You were all most helpful.

Pics of my son putting the oil pan back on. And all back together late last night ready to go.
