Without being there, I can't see where the pedal is tight. Cub clutch pedals commonly get tight from no oiling at the base, like I posted at your other post. The clutch and brake pedal linkages and throttle pivot points were supposed to be oiled with an oil can, the owner's manual says.
The other clutch release parts are inside the clutch housing. :)
