Machine shop in Tulsa

Postby Craig roop » Mon Jun 05, 2017 9:46 pm

The '48 cub my landlord gifted me for working on his stuff has a bit of a rod knock. I pulled the mower off and dropped the pan for a look, and it aint purty.
The crank is badly scored, and new bearings with a 2008 date code were in it. Those are scored, and 3 of them have spun in the rod caps. I didnt pull the mains,I just put it back together for now.
So,I need to know if there is a good machine shop someone knows of here in Tulsa for cub engine machining. The shop I would have chosen cant help me with the cub.
Gonna need a full rebuild,rods resized,crank turned,etc,etc.
The good part I suppose is all the date codes are correct except for the right axle tube, its from a '47.

You might check with local tractor dealers and see who they recommend.
