If you are referring to "live PTO" in the sense of modern tractors, no, because of the way the CUB PTO drives from the engine through the transmission. If you are wanting a live PTO for mowing, an electric clutch might could be adapted to run but not from a practical sense, IMHO.

The numbered Cubs are factory equipped with a live PTO.
I have an excuse. CRS.

One of the shortcomings of the Cub and many other older tractors, was the lack of live PTO. Is it possible to convert it? Sure, with enough re-engineering and fabrication I'm sure it could be done somehow. Is it practical? I don't think so. As Eugene mentioned, the number series were equipped with live PTO and serious re-design was required to achieve it.
