Disk hiller

Postby Wilbilly » Sun Jul 16, 2017 9:10 pm

I just got me a set of brand new to me disk hillers. After geting the in I notice a little wobble in the blades. I was just wondering if there anyway to get them apart to replace the bearings or bushings or whatever they have? I know they probably will last a long time just using them in the garden but I just like to fix it if I'm able. This is one of them and they are international hillers they have the ih stamped all over them .

They are very easy to get apart. A set screw in the backside of the hub just back it out and it comes apart. As far as finding new bushings........if you find a place let me.know cause I got 4 that need em. All.of mine wobble, 1 wobbles alot.

OK I seen the set screw. I pulled it out and fooled with it just a min but I didn't want to force anything sence I didn't know. Mine wobble about a 1 on the outside of the disk. If I find some bushings I'll make sure to let you know. Thanks

Someone should take up making replaceable wear parts for attachments such as these, planters, cultivators, etc. This stuff is still widely used but not any GOOD replaceable parts are available aftermarket, if any.
