Currently investigating the purchase of one small enough for me to throw into the trailer or pickup. Weight range 56 lbs and up. Price range $89- and up.

Sound logic.

I was wondering if a roller pump will pump turning either direction. If so, you could hook one right onto the pto and not worry about batteries.

Interesting question Bob. I've never tried it but I believe it will. Swapping the hoses on the pump connections may have some effect on it also. They are 3/4 npt I believe.

The Hypro Series 4001 and 4101 are designed for the PTO rotation of a Cub and the max RPMs of the Cub 1800 and 2600, respectively. The Hypro literature I looked at is pretty specific in terms of CCW or CW rotation for each roller pump. I originally used the Hypro pump because it was designed to work in the same direction as a Cub PTO.

Your question prompted me to dig a bit deeper in the literature and I found on page 5 that the rotation could be changed by disassembling the pumps and reassembling another way to change the rotation. So it is possible to change the rotation and still have them pump.

I use a 15 gallon Fimco ( which was on sale for less than 50 dollars at Ag Supply in Statesboro Georgia when I was passing thru ) and a cargo carrier which was 39.95 along with the receiver that will bolt on ( which I forget the price) from Harbor Freight, to spray my small orchard ...I've only had to replace the wand once in about 5 years...It clips on to my 12 V battery conversion..The whole system was inexpensive enough to warrant a 12 volt conversion although I had already converted mine....Good luck with your project....Dave :tractor:
