Good morning!
I just managed to wrench the nasty rusted bolts and battery box from the Cub... (there was no lid or front, all exposed for who knows how long.) Prolly got tetanus wrenching them free and cutting knuckles..
I bought a replacement battery box and don't want to reuse nasty bolts but don't see them for sale at TM Tractor parts.
Is it possible to bring these bolts into local hardware store and find replacement bolts or will thread be different?
Thanks as always!
Kind Regards,
Chris

Local hardware store can help with no problem.

IIRC they're just short 3/8" coarse thread bolts. Maybe 1" long at most. Any grade is fine, but grade 2 is probably right. Use never-seize on the threads.
Just an aside, being exposed to the elements was probably better for them than being closed up in that box with that off-gassing battery. I had one that there was nothing left of the bolt heads but rusty nubs. That was what sold me on the weld-on-a-nut trick.

Be aware, IF you plan to attach the ground to the battery box, as was done originally, you must make sure there is a good ground/contact between tbe battery box and the platform/axle extension. That means removing enough paint from both the box and platform to ensure good contact.
The alternative is to attach the ground wire to a transmission cover bolt, after making sure that has a good ground contact.
