All Cubs came with them. Yours probably broke off before you got it.

The brackets were originally there. The rubber pad was added by a previous owner.

I don't believe so. There's no way they could of got the pad over the neck and there is no welds rust holes spot welds etc to ever show signs of them being there. There is also no holes in the radiator to bolt them to. It might be the same in the 50 you guys got a piece but I'm telling you this is what I'm looking at.

I'll take some tonight when I get home, and also the rubber pad is under the overflow tube on the neck which led me to believe it wasn't a previous owner thing.

I've made a mistake. It appears that my radiator side shields are missing along with the flat stock that holds the radiator flange down also. I never thought nothing of it. The radiator shroud is missing to. I see no evidence that the hood brackets were ever on there or a outline of where the radiator side shields have ever been there. What a piece of junk I bought.

You might locate a parts tractor or advertise on THE VINE Classified for what you need. Several forum members part out cubs and sell the used parts.

My 49 doesn't have the brackets, and the dog legs take a 8-32. Just bought them today. One hole has a tap broke off down in it. Not sure how I'll deal with that. Worked at it quit a while today with nothing more than frustration.
